2. The present writ petition has been filed for seeking following reliefs:

"For issuance of a writ in the nature of a writ of mandamus, or any other appropriate writ, order, direction commanding the Respondents, especially Respondent No. 3, to forthwith release the Original Degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery (hereinafter referred as BDS) of the Petitioner, which has still not been provided to the Petitioner, despite the Petitioner graduating from the Respondent College in the year 1995. The Petitioner in alternative prays for a consequential Writ of Mandamus commanding the Respondents to forthwith dispose of the detailed Representation dated 04.10.2023 (Annexure 5 (series)), submitted by the Petitioner to the Respondent Authorities, whereby the Petitioner has requested the Competent Authorities to issue his Original BDS Degree and further to act strictly in accordance with the law."

A supplementary affidavit has been filed on behalf of the petitioner in which it is stated that original Degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery of the petitioner is in custody of Buddha Institute of Dental Science and Hospital, Patna, and the petitioner is authorizing Mr. Mritunjay Kumar Advocate, working in the chambers of Mr. Ajit Kumar Ojha, Advocate, who is engaged by the petitioner in the instant case, to receive the degree concerned since the petitioner on account of terminal illness of his mother is unable to come and receive the degree in person.

Considering the statement made in the supplementary affidavit, the Buddha Institute of Dental Science and Hospital, Patna, is directed to release the original degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery of the petitioner and handover to Mr. Mritunjay Kumar Advocate, working in the chambers of Mr. Ajit Kumar Ojha, Advocate. The said Degree must be handed over to the petitioner within two weeks.

5. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed of.
