JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 07-01-2020 This writ application has been filed for quashing of an order dated 21.06.2019 passed by the District Agriculture Officer, Supaul, whereby petitioners' claim for appointment on the post of Kisan Salahkar has been rejected. The petitioners are also seeking direction to the respondents to appoint them on the post of Kisan Salahkar.

From the pleadings in the writ application itself, it appears that the panel for appointment on the post of Kisan

Patna High Court CWJC No.21568 of 2019(2) dt.07-01-2020 2/2 Salahkar was prepared in the year 2012, which expired in the year 2013. After expiry of the panel, two persons were appointed in the year 2014 from the said panel. The petitioners are claiming that they should also be appointed, though the panel has expired. They had earlier approached this Court by filing a writ application vide C.W.J.C.No.5339 of 2014, which was disposed of on 26.02.2016 asking the respondents/authorities to decide the claim of the petitioners. In the light of the said order of this Court, the impugned order has been passed.

This is not a grievance of the petitioners that any person below in the merit list has been appointed ignoring their claim for appointment as Kisan Salahkar. In any view of the matter, more than six years after expiry of the panel, I am not inclined to interfere with the impugned order in absence of any clear case of discrimination.
