The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 364(A)/34 of the Indian Penal Code and under Sections 16/18/20 of U.A.P. Act. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 20.07.2022, and has antecedent of one case in which he is on bail. It is next submitted that the petitioner came to be implicated in the present case based on confessional statement of Ranjit Koda. The learned counsel submits that Ranjit Koda has been granted bail by order dated 05.08.2021 in Cr. Misc. No. 23961 of 2022. It is next submitted that the accused, on whose confessional statement, the petitioner
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.668 of 2023(2) dt.29-04-2023 2/2 came to be implicated has already been granted bail, as such the case of the petitioner is on better footing than Ranjit Koda. Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner.
Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, let the petitioner above named be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned court below where the case is pending/successor court in connection with Chanan P.S. Case No. 86 of 2020.
