Heard learned counsel for the parties concerned. 2.

The present writ application has been filed for a direction to the Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur (hereinafter referred to as "the University") to send the list of students for counselling and admission in M.Ed. Course for Session 2023-25 on the basis of Combined Entrance Examination conducted by the University.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner- College has been granted recognition for conducting M.Ed. Courses with intake of 50 students. The affiliation to the College has been granted by the University in the year 2019. He

Patna High Court CWJC No.16979 of 2023(2) dt.23-01-2024 2/3 further submits that admission in M.Ed. Course for the Session 2023-25 is being taken on the basis of result of the Combined Entrance Test and on the basis of list of successful candidates forwarded by the University. The University sent a list of 50 students to the petitioner's College on 09.08.2023 for admission. In the said list, majority of the students had already taken admission in different Colleges and only 10 students could be admitted from the list sent on 09.08.2023. Subsequently, a second list was sent by the University to the petitioner's College having the name of 50 students but from second list also, most of the students had already taken admission in different Colleges and only 15 students have been admitted. The grievance of the petitioner is that still 25 seats are vacant but the University is not forwarding the names of the students for admission in M.Ed. Course despite the fact that a large number of students are still awaiting for admission in the M.Ed. Course.

No one appears for the University.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and taking into consideration the nature of prayer made in the writ application, the present writ application is disposed with a direction to the petitioner to file a fresh representation before the Registrar, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University,

Patna High Court CWJC No.16979 of 2023(2) dt.23-01-2024 3/3 Muzaffarpur i.e. respondent no. 2. It is made clear that if such representation is filed by the petitioner within a period of one week from today, the respondent no. 2 shall be obliged to dispose the same expeditiously, in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks, thereafter.
