The present writ petition has been filed for the following relief(s):- "1. That this is an application for issuance of a writ in the nature of writ of mandamus or an appropriate writ/writs/,order/orders or direction/directions commanding the respondents to make the payment of the admitted dues (i.e. to the tune of Rs.54,18,000/-(fifty four lacs eighteen thousands only) for the work done by the petitioner during

Patna High Court CWJC No.529 of 2023(7) dt.12-12-2023 2/3 Lok Sabha Election, 2019 for temporary construction of hammer(chapakal) and toilets for the para military forces in the government/private schools/colleges and other government buildings, the places where the paramilitary forces stayed during election, with 12% interest on delayed payments.

Learned counsel for the respondents has stated that pursuant to the orders passed by the District Election Officercum-District Magistrate, Araria the Three-Men-Committee has submitted a report dated 29.12.2022. The Three-MenCommittee has found the claim made by the petitioner as genuine and recommended for payment of the amount therefore a direction may be given to the authorities concerned to pay the admitted dues to the petitioner.

A perusal of the report shows that the amount of Rs. 59,18,000/- (Five Nine Lakh Eighteen Thousand) is to be paid to the petitioner, out of which an amount of Rs. 5,00,000/- (Five Lakh) is already paid, the balance amount due to the petitioner is Rs. 54,18,000/- (Five Four Lakh Eighteen Thousand).

Having regard to the report submitted by the ThreeMen Committee, the authorities are directed to make payment of the admitted dues to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the amount is not paid within

Patna High Court CWJC No.529 of 2023(7) dt.12-12-2023 3/3 the stipulated time, the authorities shall be liable to pay interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of submission of the bills till the date of payment.

6. With the above direction, the present writ petition stands disposed off.
