2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Simri Bakhtiyarpur P.S. Case No. 5 of 2023 dated 05.01.2023, lodged under Section 376 of the I.P.C.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner is accused of committing rape upon the victim.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. He further submits that the petitioner is in custody since 27.02.2023 having clean antecedent.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that there is a direction allegation of rape against the petitioner.

6. Considering the nature of allegation levelled against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant bail to him and, therefore, his bail petition is hereby rejected. (Sandeep Kumar, J) sadique/- U T
