The petitioner is languishing in custody in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 149, 341, 387, 427, 504, 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

It is alleged by the informant that petitioner along with other accused persons came at his field and left the cattle in the field of the informant and other villagers with an intention to destroy the crop. The

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.79146 of 2023(2) dt.14-12-2023 2/3 accused persons also demanded ransom of Rs. 50,000/- from each field owner.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is innocent and he has falsely been implicated in this case. There is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioner. The petitioner was not apprehended from the spot. Nothing has been recovered from the conscious possession of the petitioner. No one has paid any ransom amount to anyone. The petitioner is languishing in custody since 19.09.2023.

In contra, learned A.P.P appearing on behalf of the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

Considering the facts aforesaid and the period under custody, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousands) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st
