2. Lastly prayer for bail of the petitioner was refused by this Court vide order dated 17.8.2022.

3. Trial court's report dated 21.12.2023 reveals that all the 7 chargesheeted witnesses have been examined and the case is fixed for statement of accused persons under section 313 of the Cr.P.C.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 25.5.2021 and there is no likelihood of conclusion of the trial in near future.

5. Considering the progress of the trial, prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected with direction to the trial court to expedite the trial and conclude the same preferably within a period of one year.
