2. Lastly prayer for bail of the petitioner was refused by this Court vide order dated 12.5.2022.

3. Trial court's report dated 20.12.2023 reveals that out of 5 chargesheeted witnesses, 2 witnesses have been examined and the case is fixed for prosecution evidence of other witnesses.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 17.8.2021 and there is no likelihood of conclusion of the trial in near future.

5. Considering the progress of the trial, prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected with direction to the trial court to expedite the trial and conclude the same preferably within a period of one year.
