The instance application for regular bail has been filed by the petitioner in connection with Lodipur P.S. Case No. 188 of 2022 instituted for the offence u/s 363, 365 of Indian Penal Code, Section 8 of POCSO Act. Subsequently added Sections 4, 6 of POCSO Act.

Earlier the application for regular bail of the petitioner was rejected by order dated 01.05.2023 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 1060 of 2023.

In pursuance to the direction of this Court, a report with regard to the present stage of trial has been received

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.79597 of 2023(3) dt.12-01-2024 2/2 and from its perusal it appears that the trial may be concluded within four months.

No fresh ground is made for reconsideration of the regular bail application of the petitioner. Hence, prayer for bail is rejected.

Accordingly, application stands disposed off. However, learned trial court is directed to conclude the trial within period of four months, as mentioned in its report, failing which the petitioner will be at liberty to renew his application for bail.
