JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 20-11-2024 The limited prayer made by the petitioner in the present writ petition is to direct the District Magistrate, East Champaran at Motihari to dispose off the application, filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms licence on 10.06.2024.

The learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that in case the aforesaid application is still pending consideration, the same shall definitely be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, East Champaran at Motihari to dispose off the aforesaid application,
Patna High Court CWJC No.17470 of 2024(2) dt.20-11-2024 2/2 filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms licence, in case the same has actually been filed and is still pending consideration, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
