The petitioner seeks pre-arrest bail in connection with Kahalgaon P.S. Case No. 513 of 2017 registered under Sections 341, 323, 342, 332, 333, 427, 353, 354A, 386, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

Regard being had to the gravity of the offence in which a lady Child Development Project Officer was badly assaulted while she was discharging her official duty, I am not inclined to grant pre-arrest bail to the petitioner whose name transpired in course of investigation. Accordingly, the

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.12597 of 2018 (2) dt.28-02-2018 application is rejected.

In case the petitioner surrenders and seeks bail, the same shall be considered on its own merit without being prejudiced in any manner by this order.
