JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 10-01-2020 On the basis of a competitive selection process held by the Bihar Staff Selection Commission, the petitioner's name was recommended for his appointment as Sub Inspector of Police, as has been stated in the writ application. My attention has been drawn to Annexure-3 of the writ application, which is letter dated 12.12.2018, written by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Central Range, Patna, addressed to the Secretary of the Commission, wherein certain doubts have been expressed in respect of the candidates recommended for appointment to the said post including the petitioner. It has been pointed out in the remarks column that there was difference between the signature of the petitioner available on his admit card and signature put by

The only grievance, which the petitioner has in the present writ application, is that so far the Commission has not responded to the said communication dated 12.12.2018, because of which the petitioner has not been allowed to join, despite recommendation made in his favour, merely on the basis of suspicion.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this application is disposed of with a direction to the Secretary of the Commission to respond to the said communication dated 12.12.2018 (Annexure-3) within four weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner shall fully cooperate with the Commission in reaching a definite conclusion in relation to the doubt expressed by the Deputy Inspector General of Police in the said letter dated 12.12.2018.

The Commission shall proceed accordingly and respond to the letter of the Deputy Inspector General of Police within the time specified hereinabove, positively. It goes without saying that in case no discrepancy is found, the petitioner's claim for his appointment shall be
