Allegation against the petitioner is of causing injury to the informant on his shoulder by gunshot. he is, therefore, facing prosecution under section 307 IPC. Prayer is for grant of anticipatory bail.

It is submitted that the injury was simple and on non vital part. The petitioner had no information about lodging of the case. Hence there was delay in surrendering before the court.

Learned counsel for the State opposed the prayer. It is stated that there is direct allegation of causing injury by firearm attributed to the petitioner. Prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.
