The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "i) For issuance of writ in nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to remove encroachment over Public Road situated upon Khesra No. 296, 297 and 298, which was constructed from old Khesra No. 14, 1 decimal and 37, 6 decimal total 7 decimal land.

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, including that of filing a suit before the learned civil court of competent jurisdiction. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

The writ petition stands dismissed as not pressed.
