JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 03-12-2019 A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the respondents-State of Bihar, which has been taken on record. This writ application raises issues relating to preparation of mapping register of Anganbari Centre No. 51 of Gram Panchayat Raj Inayatpur (Ward No. 11) in the district of Saran at Chapra, for the purpose of selection of Anganbari Sevika.

It has been rightly submitted on behalf of the respondents-State of Bihar that only female candidates are eligible for selection to the said post and, therefore, the

Patna High Court CWJC No.23926 of 2019(2) dt.03-12-2019 2/2 petitioner, who is a male, does not have locus standi to maintain this writ application, since he cannot be said to be a person aggrieved.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that name of petitioner's mother was wrongly not entered into the mapping register.

Be that as it may, since the petitioner does not have the basic eligibility criteria for the said post, he cannot maintain this writ application. This application is accordingly dismissed. It goes without saying that the petitioner's mother shall have the liberty to approach the appropriate forum for redressal of her grievance, if so advised.
