1. Heard the parties.
2. The present writ application has been filed for reevaluation of the copy of Intermediate Annual Examination of the petitioner who appeared in the Intermediate Examination held by Bihar School Examination Board in the year 2023.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner wrote the examination in English medium but the copy has been examined by the teachers of Hindi medium, as such, the petitioner got lesser marks than expected.
4. Learned counsel for the Board submits that there is no provision to re-evaluate or re-examine the answer book of the examination in the Bihar School Examination Board
Patna High Court CWJC No.16983 of 2023(2) dt.10-04-2025 2/2 Regulation. He next submits that as per Chapter 5, Clause 20 B of the Bihar School Examination Board Regulation, only scrutiny and re-totaling of the answer sheets can be done. The petitioner had applied for re-scrutiny and that has already been done.
5. Having considered the rival submission of the parties and the fact that the petitioner has not brought any provision to show that answer books can be re-evaluated and on the contrary, the case of the Board is that the Regulation does not prescribe re-evaluation of the answer sheet much less on the ground that evaluation was done by the teachers of Hindi medium, I do not find any merit in this writ application and the same is dismissed.
6. Accordingly, the present writ application is dismissed with the aforesaid observation.
