1. The petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, East Champaran at Motihari to make entry of the arms license of the petitioner, bearing license No.HMB/AP/310/ARMS (N.P. Bore Rifle), issued by the Department of Home, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar, in the OD Register of the District-East Champaran at Motihari, for which the petitioner is stated to have filed an application before the District Magistrate, East Champaran at Motihari on 20.11.2015.

2. Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondent-

Patna High Court CWJC No.18235 of 2024(2) dt.03-12-2024 2/2 State submits that in case the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner, has not yet been disposed off, the same shall be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

3. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, East Champaran at Motihari to consider the aforesaid application filed by the petitioner, in accordance with law, in case the same has actually been filed and is still pending consideration and pass a speaking and a reasoned order within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
