The main grievance raised by the petitioner in this writ petition is that her application for mutation filed on 21.07.2025 is not being decided by the respondent no.4, the Circle Officer, Piro, district, Bhojpur, Ara after lapse of the period of limitation prescribed under section 12 of the Bihar Land Mutation Act, 2011 which prescribes maximum period of

Patna High Court CWJC No.18674 of 2025(2) dt.24-11-2025 2/2 21 working days for deciding the mutation petition/ case by the Circle Officer when there is no objection and when there is objection then the maximum period for deciding the same is 63 working days.

In the light of aforesaid submission, this court perused the Annexure-1, which is said to be an application having been filed by the petitioner for mutation of her land, and the same goes to show that the petitioner did not file her application in the prescribed format and further, the petitioner raised some other issues which are not relevant to her prayer for mutation, so, considering this aspect, this court does not find any merit in this writ petition and the same stands dismissed. However, the petitioner is given a liberty to file an application for mutation in the prescribed format under Rule 3(1) of Bihar Land Mutation Rules, 2012 and if she avails this liberty within four weeks from today then the respondent no.4 shall decide the petitioner's application within the limitation period prescribed under the Bihar Land Mutation Act, 2011.
