JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 20-11-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1. For issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus commanding the Respondents to remove the encroachments made over the public land on Western Koshi Canal, situated at Mouza-Bhauara, Rahika Block , District of Madhubani, appertaining to Thana No.62, Kheshra Nos.485 and 486, in view of letter no. 332 dated 23.02.2024 of the Executive Engineer, Western Koshi Canal Division, Darbhanga addressed to Anchal Adhikari, Rahika, disclosing the nature of the land as public land in response to Memo No.202 dated 19.01.2024 of Anchal Adhikari, Rahika as mandated by
Patna High Court CWJC No.17425 of 2024(2) dt.20-11-2024 2/2 the relevant provisions of Bihar Public Land Encroachment Act, 1956 and also in compliance of the direction issued by the Principal Secretary, Revenue and Land Reforms Department, Government of Bihar, Patna in obedience to judgement of Hon'ble Apex Court in Civil Appeal No. 1132/2011 dated 28.01.2011."

After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the Circle Officer, Rahika, District-Madhubani for redressal of her aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted. 3.
The writ petition stands disposed off.
