11-12-2019 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.

The petitioner seeks bail in S.Tr.No. 497 of 2019/446 of 2019, arising out of Lauriya P.S. Case No. 170 of 2018 registered for the offence under Sections 304(B), 120(B), 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per prosecution case, the death of deceased occurred due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry and petitioner is husband of the deceased. It is alleged in the F.I.R. that deceased was subjected to cruelty by her husband for demand of one lac rupees and one motorcycle.

Considering the seriousness of the allegation, I am not inclined to extend the privilege of bail to the petitioner, who is husband. The prayer for bail stands rejected. However, considering the fact that petitioner is in

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.81706 of 2019(2) dt.11-12-2019 2/2 custody, while rejecting his prayer for bail, it is directed to the learned trial court to expedite the trial and conclude the same preferably within a period of two years.
