JUSTICE BIBEK CHAUDHURI ORAL ORDER 08-04-2025 On the basis of a complaint lodged by the petitioner, a case was registered under Sections 465, 468, 469, 471, 420 and 120B of the IPC being Shastri Nagar P.S. Case No. 537 of 2022 dated 26th of August, 2022.

2. It is the allegation of the petitioner that the Investigating Officer has failed to conduct a proper investigation in the case, and although more than two years have elapsed, no report has been submitted by the Investigating Officer.

3. On the contrary, it is submitted by the learned Advocate for the respondents that the investigation of the case is still going on. Therefore, the police is not in a position to file charge-sheet against the accused persons in connection with Shastri Nagar P.S. Case No. 537 of 2022.

4. Having learned counsels for the parties and considering the facts that the above-mentioned case registered by police is pending for more than 2 years, the I.O. is directed to come to a logical conclusion of the investigation within 90 days from the date of this order.

5. With the above direction to the I.O, the instant writ petition is disposed of.

6. Parties are at liberty to communicate the instant order to the I.O. and S.H.O., Shastri Nagar Police Station obtaining server copy of the same.
