2. A counter affidavit has been filed by learned counsel for the State.

"3. The present application has been filed for quashing the order dated 03.03.2022 passed by the Divisional Commissioner, Patna in Arms Appeal No. 187 of 2018 by which the appeal filed on behalf of the petitioner against the order dated 04.05.2018 passed by the District Magistrate-cum-Collector, Rohtas, in Arms Case No. 9 of 2018 has been rejected and the order dated 04.05.20218 passed in Arms Case No. 9 of 2018 by which the application submitted by the petitioner for grant of licence of N.P. Bore Rifle and DBBL Gun was rejected was affirmed."

3. The petitioner is given liberty to apply afresh in

Patna High Court CWJC No.3565 of 2023(3) dt.07-12-2023 2/2 Patna for grant of arms licence.

4. If such an application is filed, the same shall be considered, in accordance with law, by the District Magistrate, Patna within six months of its filing.

5. The application stands disposed of.
