JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER (Per: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE) 19-12-2019 The petitioners have prayed for the following relief: "(A) For issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to immediately produce their daughter named Anisha Kumari, who is the wife of Shravan Singh (Respondent No. 5), along with their grandson, Ansh, before this Hon'ble Court, as she is pregnant and has been constantly subjected to torture and assault at the hands of her husband and brother-in-laws (Respondent No. 6 and 7) and she is not being allowed to meet anyone including her parents, and they apprehend that her husband along with his brothers might either cause grievous injury upon their daughter and grandson or might result in some untowards incident."

Ms. Anjana Sinha Shahi, learned counsel, has independently interacted with added Respondent No. 10, namely, Anisa Kumari.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners seeks permission to withdraw this application reserving liberty to take recourse to such remedies as are, otherwise, available, in accordance with law.
