2. The writ petition has been filed for the following reliefs :- (i) For the issuance of a writ of mandamus, and/or any other writ/ direction/order commanding the respondents to pay to the petitioners remuneration for their related work done by them at the Nalanda Open University. Study Centre at Mahila College, Khagaria for the academic years 2020-21,2021-22,2022-23 and 2023-24 with statutory interest on the entire dues.
(ii) For the issuance of appropriate
Patna High Court CWJC No.19413 of 2025(2) dt.02-12-2025 2/3 writ/direction/order commanding the respondents to ensure all consequential reliefs to the petitioners in the facts and circumstances of the case.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that despite these petitioner Nos. 1 and 2 having discharged the duties to the post of Co-ordinator-cum-Teacher and Assistant Co-ordinator at the Nalanda Open University (for brevity 'NOU') for the academic years 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24, the remuneration which is fixed for imparting such education, has still not been extended in their favour and for which an appropriate representation has already been filed before the Registrar, Nalanda Open University vide Annexure-P/1 at page 11 and subsequent representations have also been made before the Vice-Chancellor of NOU, but till date nothing has been done.

Learned counsel for the Nalanda Open University submits that the representation may be directed to be disposed off by passing reasoned and speaking order and if on finding the claim of the petitioner to be justified, then necessary steps shall be taken by them within the timeline so fixed by this Court.
5. Considering the submission of the parties, this Court is of the opinion that instead keeping this matter pending, the Registrar is directed to adjudicate the claim of this petitioner
Patna High Court CWJC No.19413 of 2025(2) dt.02-12-2025 3/3 within a period of six weeks from today and on finding his claim to be justified in law, with reference to the materials available on record and if the petitioner has imparted education in respect of the academic years, then necessary orders shall be passed and remuneration, as applicable in law, shall be extended in their favour within the same time.
