Petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Panapur Kariyat P.S. Case No.15 of 2024, registered for the offence punishable u/s 354(A), 387/34 of IPC and 67(B) of I.T. Act.

Allegedly, petitioner along with other co-accused persons have uploaded obscene photographs and video of the informant's daughter on Facebook and also blackmailed her by demanding Rs.5,00,000/-.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is quite innocent and has not committed any offence. He has been falsely implicated in this case. There is no specific overt act attributed against the petitioner rather the allegation is

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.82458 of 2024(2) dt.11-12-2024 2/2 general and omnibus in nature. Whatsapp No. 9059336844, using which the photographs and videos have been uploaded, does not belong to the petitioner. His name has been dragged into the case on the basis of suspicion. Petitioner has one criminal antecedent as mentioned in para 3 of the bail application.

Learned APP for the State opposed the prayer for bail. 6.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances and the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The prayer for grant of anticipatory bail on his behalf is hereby rejected.

This application is accordingly dismissed.
