The bail petition of the petitioner was rejected by this Court vide order dated 10.08.2017 as 11 Kg. ganja is said to have been recovered from beneath the bed of the room of the petitioner and learned trial court was directed to conclude the trial, as expeditiously as possible, within six months from the date of receipt/production of the said order. Subsequently, status report regarding stage of trial was called for from the learned court below. Responding the same, learned lower court has reported that the charge in the case has already been framed on 20.09.2017 and out of eight witnesses, one witness has been

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.19531 of 2018(4) dt.02-05-2018 2/2 examined till the date of report. The summons have already been issued against all the charge-sheet witnesses. In the facts and circumstances, learned lower court is directed to conclude the trial within four months positively from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order and Superintendent of Police, Samastipur is directed to ensure the production of witnesses before the court on the date fixed for the same.

Let a copy of this order be sent to Superintendent of Police, Samastipur for needful.
