1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1(i) For issuance of a writ in the nature mandamus, directing the respondents for renewal of the Arms License No.-1558/82 (.22 Bore Rifle) and Arms License No.-1560/82 (N.P. Bore Rifle) issued in the name of the petitioner, which is not being done inspite of the fact that the UIN of both the Arms License has been issued to the petitioner and the due fees, till the year-2026 has been deposited with the office of the District Magistrate, Rohtas (Sasaram).

The applications of the petitioner has been kept pending despite several representations made

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram to consider and dispose off the aforesaid applications filed by the petitioner for renewal of his arms license within a stipulated time frame.

3. Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondentState submits that the aforesaid application filed by the petitioner shall definitely be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

4. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram to take a final decision with regard to the aforesaid applications filed by the petitioner, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
