2. The petitioners, four in numbers, have filed this writ petition for payment of remuneration contending that they are working as Nyaya Sachiv in Itarhi Block in the district of Buxar who were appointed as such on different dates which are as follows:- (I) Petitioner No. 1 on 28.07.2019.

Patna High Court CWJC No.17590 of 2024(2) dt.21-11-2024 2/3 (II) Petitioner No. 2 on 26.07.2019.

(III) Petitioner No. 3 on 26.07.2019.

(IV) Petitioner No. 4 on 29.01.2020.

Having regard to the nature of prayer made by the petitioners, this writ petition, with the consent of the learned advocates appearing for the parties is hereby disposed of at this stage by directing the respondents, more particularly, the respondent No. 3-the District Panchayati Raj Officer, Buxar to make an enquiry as to whether the petitioners were appointed as Nyaya Sachiv in Itarhi Block in the district of Buxar on the dates mentioned hereinabove and whether the petitioners have worked as Nyaya Sachiv pursuant to the appointments made to them on the dates mentioned hereinabove.

4. If on the enquiry made it is found that the petitioners were appointed as Nyaya Sachiv in Itarhi Block in the district of Buxar on the dates mentioned hereinabove and the petitioners have worked as such thereafter, the petitioners shall be paid the remuneration that may be entitled to the petitioners.

5. The enquiry as directed above shall be completed by the respondent No.3 - The District Panchayati Raj Officer, Buxar within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of

6. This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
