The petitioners are apprehending their arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 498A of the Indian Penal Code and Section 4 of D.P. Act.

By order dated 29.11.2019, notice was issued to opposite party no. 2 and the same was also served as per service report but nobody appears on behalf of the opposite party no. 2. Allegation upon the petitioners is of committing torture upon the victim due to non-fulfillment of demand of

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.73172 of 2019(4) dt.05-03-2020 2/2 dowry.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that there is no specific allegation against the petitioners. He submits that the petitioner no. 1 is the father-in-law and petitioner no. 2 is the mother-in-law of the victim.

In the facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioners, above named, in the event of their arrest or surrender before the Court below within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the order, be released on anticipatory bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (rupees twenty thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Begusarai in connection with Complaint Case No. 220C of 2019, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
