The petitioner seeks bail in Chakia P.S. Case No. 139/2018, instituted for the offences under Sections 272 and 273 of the Indian Penal Code read with Section 30(a)(c) of Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.
It is alleged in the written report that during checking one truck was intercepted by the police near the godown of Sri Paswan and the same was found loaded with huge quantity of foreign liquor.
Seizure-list is part of F.I.R., which shows that huge quantity of foreign liquor has been recovered from the aforesaid truck.
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.56932 of 2018 (3) dt.29-10-2018 2/2 Petitioner was driver of the aforesaid truck. In view of such, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. Accordingly, prayer for bail of petitioner is rejected.
Petitioner is given liberty to renew his prayer for bail after six months in the event no substantive progress is made in trial.
