This application for regular bail arises out of DRI (NDPS) P.S. Case No. 07 of 2018, disclosing the offence under Sections 20 and 23 of the NDPS Act.

In view of the Bar under Section 37 of the NDPS Act, the prayer for the petitioner's release on bail cannot be entertained since the Court does not find any material to reach a definite conclusion that the petitioner had not committed the offence and he would not commit such offence in future. This application is accordingly dismissed.

It is stated by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is in custody since 25.12.2018 and there has been

It is, therefore, observed that let the conclusion of trial be expedited by the court below and it be concluded preferably within a period of one year from the date of receipt/ production of a copy of this order.
