JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 17-05-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1. (i) For issuance of an appropriate writ/order/ direction to respondent for transfer the Arms License in the name of petitioners after the death of his father in pursuance of Rule 25 of the Arms Rule, 2016 and Circular dated 13.10.2014 issue by Home Department, Government of Bihar, Patna.

Patna High Court CWJC No.17981 of 2023(2) dt.17-05-2024 2/3 (ii) For issuance of an appropriate writ / order / direction to respondent to dispose off the application of Arms License of petitioners which is pending before the Licensing Authority cum District Magistrate, Aurangabad, Bihar."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Aurangabad to dispose off the pending application of the petitioners filed for grant of arms license on 16.03.2020.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that in case the aforesaid application has been filed and is still pending, the same would definitely be disposed off within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

Having regard to the limited prayer made by the petitioners in the present writ petition, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Aurangabad to dispose off the aforesaid application, in case the same is still pending consideration, by passing a reasoned and

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
