Petitioner in the present case is seeking regular bail in connection with Shikarpur P.S. Case No. 125 of 2019 registered for the offences punishable under Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 4, 6 of the Protection of Children From Sexual Offences Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case due to village politics. It is further submitted that the informant has filed the case because of his personal grievance against the petitioner. The petitioner is in custody since 31.05.2019.

Learned A.P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.70238 of 2019(2) dt.04-12-2019 2/2 bail.

Considering the nature of the allegations which seems to be grave and there are apprehensions that release of the petitioner at this stage is likely to result in a threat to the minor child, this Court is not inclined to grant the privilege of regular bail to the petitioner. The application is dismissed. Let the trial be expedited.
