JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 20-11-2024 Though the present writ petition has been filed for directing the District Magistrate, Patna to dispose off the application, filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms licence, however, it has been pointed out that the petitioner had filed a writ petition earlier, bearing CWJC No.8677 of 2022, wherein this Court, by an order dated 01.08.2023, has already directed the District Magistrate, Patna to dispose off the application, filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms licence, within a period of eight weeks of receipt/production of a copy of the said order dated 01.08.2023.

In view of the aforesaid, the learned counsel for the

Patna High Court CWJC No.17515 of 2024(2) dt.20-11-2024 2/2 petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to file appropriate contempt petition, alleging disobedience of the said order dated 01.08.2023. Liberty so sought is granted. 3.

The writ petition stands disposed off.
