The petitioner has filed the instant application for the following relief (s) :- "(i) For granting cash award of Rs.50,000/- pursuant to the circular and guidelines issued by National Agriculture and Gramin Vikas Bank, Mumbai, vide their circular No. I.D.D.- R.R.C.B.D No.4353/516-N.I.T./92-93 dated 05.09.1993.

(ii) For granting arrear of grade II, scale for which the petitioner is entitled to pursuant to the aforesaid circular from retrospective date for which the petitioner is entitled.

(iii) For grant of pension on grade II scale for which the petitioner was entitled.

(iv) For any other relief or reliefs for which the petitioner is entitled to in the facts and circumstances of the case."

3. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner

Patna High Court CWJC No.18317 of 2025(2) dt.11-12-2025 2/3 that the petitioner was employed as a Cashier-cum-Clerk in the Begusarai Kshetriya Gramin Bank in the year 1990. He had an unblemished carrier.

It is further submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that in a bank dacoity occurrence which took place on 20.9.2014, Rs. 5 lacs was looted, however exemplary courage shown by the petitioner lead to the arrest of the dacoits as also recovery of Rs. 5 lacs. For the occurrence Begusarai Nagar P.S Case no. 289 of 2004 was registered under section 395 of the Indian Penal. It is submitted that the act of bravery of the petitioner was commended by the Bihar Police and the petitioner also received an award of Rs. 5,000/- from the Director General of Police.

5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as per the circular and guidelines dated 3.5.1993 issued by the National Agriculture and Gramin Vikas Bank, for exemplary courage shown, the employee concerned is considered for an award of Rs. 50,000/- etc. as also for out of turn promotion.

6. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the instant application be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner under the aforesaid circular/guidelines.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties, the instant application is disposed of directing the petitioner to file a representation before the Chairman, Bihar Gramin Bank, Head Office, N.H.30, Ashochak, Shri Vishnu Commercial Complex, Near B.P.Petrol Pump, Patna-800030 (respondent no.1) within a period of four weeks.

8. In case such a representation is filed, the same shall be considered and decided by the respondent concerned within a period of two months from the date of its filing.

9. The writ application stands disposed of with the above observation and direction.
