JUSTICE VINOD KUMAR SINHA ORAL ORDER 18-07-2018 Earlier prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected by this Court vide order dated 3.3.2017 passed in Cr.Misc.No.8113 of 2017 with observation to conclude the trial within a period of nine months.

Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that petitioner is in custody for more than two and a half years and till date trial has not been concluded.

Heard learned APP.

It appears that on the confessional statement of petitioner one knife was recovered and from perusal of the report it appears that six witnesses have been examined and the case is pending for examination of three witnesses, including I.O. and Doctor and learned trial court sought four months time to conclude the trial.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.24746 of 2018 (3) dt.18-07-2018 2/2 Having heard both sides and in the facts and circumstances, as stated above, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. However, learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial by conducting it on regular basis so that trial may be concluded as soon as possible.
