2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Motipur P.S. Case No. 325 of 2023 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 30(a)/31/32(i)(ii)/36/41(i)(ii) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

3. There is recovery of 5373 litres of foreign liquor. The petitioner is the driver of the vehicle. He is in custody since 13.10.2023.

4. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner being driver had no knowledge about the illicit liquor carried in the truck. This argument cannot be believed.

5. Such huge quantity of liquor cannot be

6. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

7. In these circumstances, I am not inclined to grant bail to this petitioner. This application is dismissed.
