2. The petitioner apprehends his case in connection with Gopalpur P.S. Case No. 148 of 2024 for the offences punishable under Sections 304(B)/34 of the IPC, lodged on 08.05.2024 by the informant, Govind Kumar.

3. As per the prosecution story, the informant alleged that his sister was married to Ritesh Kumar and the couple was blessed with two children but was always tortured for dowry. On the fateful day, information came about her assault and further her dead body was found hanging at her in-law's house. Accordingly, the FIR.

4. Though learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he is the father-in-law and the husband is in custody since 07.06.2024, learned APP, Mr. Bharat Bhushan submits that a

No.81204 of 2024(2) dt.05-03-2025 2/2 perusal of the FIR would show that on 03.05.2024, a Panchayat took place in which both the petitioner and his son amongst other were present and they undertook that henceforth, no such incident will take place but immediately on 07.05.2024, the occurrence has been recorded.

5. Considering the aforesaid facts as also that just prior to her death pursuant to the allegation of demand, a Panchayati was held, in that background, no case of anticipatory bail is made out.

6. Accordingly, Cr. Misc. No. 81204 of 2024 stands dismissed.
