The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Barachatti P.S. Case No. 242 of 2018 for the offences punishable under Section 30(d) of the Bihar Excise Amendment Act, 2016. The allegation is regarding recovery of 900 kgs. of Mahua flower from a car.
The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that neither any recovery has been made from the conscious possession of the petitioner nor the petitioner is the owner of the said vehicle. It is submitted that the petitioner is having clean a antecedent and he is languishing in custody since 07.04.2018. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the

No.29880 of 2018 (2) dt.21-05-2018 2/2 case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Excise Judge, Gaya in connection with Barachatti P.S. Case No. 242 of 2018.
