The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ application is payment of arrears of salary for the period he has worked before superannuation in 2015.

Since the petitioner has already superannuated working as Block Teacher, the respondents are under obligation to ensure payment of salary for the period, the petitioner has worked, as no work is gratuitous and the Constitution prohibit any form of begari.

Let a copy of this order be communicated to the

Patna High Court CWJC No.23556 of 2019(2) dt.13-02-2020 2/2 Secretary, Education Department, who shall be under obligation to ensure payment of salary for the period the petitioner has already worked before superannuation at the earliest preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid, the writ application stands disposed of.
