2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Nawada Town P.S. Case No.1176 of 2023, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 304(B), 201/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
3. As per the prosecution case, the accused persons alongwith the petitioner started demanding bullet motorcycle in dowry, when the said demand was not fulfilled then they started torturing the deceased and lastly killed the deceased by pressing her neck.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is mother-in-law of the deceased who was living
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.81259 of 2023(2) dt.08-01-2024 2/2 separately from deceased and her husband and she had no connection with the family affairs of the deceased and her husband. He further submits that petitioner has no criminal antecedent and the husband of deceased namely Ravi Kumar @ Chhotu is already in custody. He also submits that petitioner is in custody since 25.07.2023.
5. Learned APP for the State and learned counsel for the informant have opposed the prayer for regular bail of the petitioner.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions of learned counsel for the parties, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nawada in connection with Nawada Town P.S. Case No.1176 of 2023.
