The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction upon the respondent authorities to correct his father's name in all the educational certificate/records; as on account of inadvertence the nickname/alias name of petitioner's father i.e. Harendra Mahto is mentioned in all the educational certificate/record of the petitioner in place of his original name

Learned Advocate for the petitioner adverting to the facts noted in the writ petition submitted that the petitioner is son of Rajendra Prasad, but, on account of some inadvertence occurred at the hands of his guardian at the time of admission in the school, in place of Rajendra Prasad, his nickname/alias name has been mentioned as Harendra Mahto and the similar mistake has occurred in all the subsequent places, leading to recording of alias name in the academic certificates.

Learned Advocate for the Central Board for Secondary Examination fairly submitted that the Board is bound to issue the certificates based upon the records available and furnished by the School concerned. It is the mandate of the law that the certificate must be in consistent with the school records, hence, necessary correction is required by a competent Court, so that further action could be taken.
5. Considering the submissions advanced by learned Advocate for the respective parties, this Court finds that no order can be passed unless the petitioner will take appropriate remedy for making necessary correction in the name of his father by a competent Court or the authority.
6. With the aforesaid observation, the present writ petition stand disposed off.
