1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the respondents.

2. The petitioner has filed the instant application praying for a direction to the respondents to pay/release the incentive for the Financial Year 2013-14 to the petitioner along with interest for the delayed period.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that he joined service in the respondent Department on 1.3.1978 on the post of Inspector. He served to the satisfaction of all authorities and

Patna High Court CWJC No.24013 of 2019(3) dt.03-11-2025 2/3 retired on 30.4.2014 while working on the post of Development Officer, Grade-I.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that inspite of several years having passed after his retirement, the petitioner still not having received the incentive amount of Rs.2,28,214/- for the Financial Year 2013-14, he represented before the respondent authorities. The representations have been brought on record as Annexure-1 series. Not having received the amount due, he has filed the instant writ application.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in a similar matter this Court vide order dated 29.3.2019 passed in CWJC no. 4877 of 2019 (Prabhat Kumar Shrivastava vs. The Chief Managing Director & Ors.) has disposed of the writ petition directing the petitioner therein to represent before the respondent authorities with the direction that they shall dispose of the representation with a reasoned order within the time fixed. Learned counsel submits that the instant application be disposed of in similar terms.

6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and having perused the contents of the petition as also the aforesaid order dated 29.3.2019, this writ application is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to file a representation before the

7. In case the representation is filed within a period of four weeks, the same shall be disposed of by the respondent no.2 within a period of two months from the date of its filing and the amount found payable to the petitioner shall be paid within a further period of two months from the date of disposal of the representation. In case any amount is found not payable to the petitioner, reasoned order for the same shall be communicated to the petitioner within the aforesaid period.

8. The writ application stands disposed of with above observations and directions.
