JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 06-07-2022 Though, the present writ petition has been filed for quashing the order dated 11.02.2016 passed by the District/ Arms Magistrate, Patna whereby and where-under the application of the petitioner for grant of arms license has been rejected, however, the Ld. Counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the District/ Arms Magistrate, Patna afresh by filing a fresh petition for grant of arms license under the new Act and further seeks a direction upon the District/ Arms Magistrate, Patna to consider the

Patna High Court CWJC No.1209 of 2020(2) dt.06-07-2022 2/2 application of the petitioner without being prejudiced by the earlier order dated 11.02.2016.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh application for grant of arms license and in case such an application is filed within a period of four weeks from today, the District/ Arms Magistrate, Patna shall consider the same in accordance with law and dispose it off expeditiously without being prejudiced by the earlier order dated 11.02.2016 passed by him in the case of the petitioner for grant of arms licence.
