2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Laheriyasarai P.S. Case No. 428 of 2023 dated 08.09.2023, lodged under Sections 385, 414 and 34 of the I.P.C. read with Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(c), 22(c), 23(c), 25 and 29 of the N.D.P.S. Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, the F.I.R. has been lodged against three named accused including the petitioner. An extortion of Rs. 50 lakh was demanded from a doctor. Subsequently, during investigation, the petitioner and others were arrested. From the phone of the petitioner, extortion call was made.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

6. Considering the fact that the petitioner is involved in demanding extortion, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and therefore, the present bail application is hereby rejected.

7. The Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial as early as possible.
