Petitioner prays for bail in connection with Vigilance P.S.Case No. 19 of 2018 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 7, 13(2) read with Section 13(1)(d) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
Allegation against the petitioner is that he caught read handed while taking bribe of Rs.10,000/- in a trap case. Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that he has falsely been implicated in this case and he is in custody since 11.5.2018.
Heard learned counsel for Vigilance, who has opposed the prayer for bail stating that petitioner was arrested in a trap case.
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.45828 of 2018 (5) dt.27-09-2018 2/2 Having heard both sides and in the facts and circumstances, as stated above, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
Hence, this application is dismissed.
