JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 12-12-2024 The learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Nalanda at Biharsharif to dispose off the application filed by the petitioner on 08.10.2024 for grant of arms license.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that in case the aforesaid application filed by the petitioner on 08.10.2024, for grant of arms license, is still pending, the same would definitely be disposed off within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

Having regard to the limited prayer made by the petitioner in the present writ petition, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Nalanda at Biharsharif to dispose off the aforesaid application filed by the petitioner on 08.10.2024, for grant of arms license, in case the same is still pending consideration, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
