1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "I. For the issuance of an appropriate writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ(s) or order(s) or direction(s) commanding the Respondents to re-instate the Petitioner on his services as a Peon in Circle Office, Noorsarai, Nalanda and set aside the dismissal order dated 18.10.2012 vide Letter No. 1830 issued by the then District Magistrate of Nalanda.
II. For the issuance of an appropriate writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ(s) or order(s) or direction(s) commanding the Respondents to provide the Petitioner his back wages and post-retiral pension/ benefits in the same way as he could have been entitled for if he was not

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.
