None ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE ANJANI KUMAR SHARAN ORAL ORDER 19-11-2024 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State. Nobody appeared on behalf of the O.P. No. 2.
2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 498(A), 313, 506, 34 of the IPC and 3/4 of D.P. Act.
3. Petitioner, who is husband of O.P. No. 2, is said to have tortured her in association of his family members over the dowry demand of Rs. 10,00,000/-. It is further alleged that when she got pregnant, they made her eat a medicine due to which she started to bleed.
4. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is an innocent person and has committed no offence. Petitioner has neither made any dowry demand nor tormented her over the demand of dowry. It is submitted that
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.82678 of 2023(7) dt.19-11-2024 2/2 petitioner was pressurized by O.P. No. 2 and her family member to marry her. The petitioner has never married the O.P. No. 2 either in the court or anywhere else. The petitioner got his handwriting matched as on the marriage document and his matriculation certificate but the signatures did not match as per report of the handwriting expert annexed as Annexure P-4 of the bail application.

In that view of the matter, let the above named petitioner, be released on bail, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of six weeks from today, on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Court below where the case is pending/successor Court in connection with Dhansoi P.S. Case No. 105 of 2019, subject to the condition as laid down under Section 438 (2) of the Cr.P.C.,
6. If so advised, either of the parties will be at liberty to make an application before the learned Court below for referring the matter to the District Mediation Center for the purpose of reconciliation or one time settlement.
